How much instruction do children really need?

Meet the ipod generation: A friend of mine came over to visit with his family for the first time. Our families hadn’t met before. My daughter and his son needed no introduction. They both happen to have their parents iphones and sat next to each other playing away. So much for social skills?! Maybe that was supposed to be their ice-breaker activity.
